announcement
About the certificate
MSLM is proud to announce that the Board Certification in Lifestyle Medicine is now available in Malaysia. This Certification programme offers members the opportunity to obtain a certification from the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine (IBLM) and by MSLM. Certification can be undertaken from a clinical or public health perspective.
Certification as a Diplomate of the IBLM demonstrates competency and specialised knowledge in Lifestyle Medicine. This distinguishes a healthcare professional as having achieved competency in Lifestyle Medicine.
why certify?
- 70 to 80% of all healthcare cost is spent treating chronic disease yet most health professionals have received little training in preventing, managing or reversing chronic diseases. Learn how to prevent, manage and reverse chronic disease that is scientific and evidence based.
- Board certification will help to enhance your knowledge in Lifestyle Medicine and improve your competency in managing chronic diseases. This will also help you to utilize health coaching to effect behavioral change and develop strategies to incorporate into your practice.
- To set a common standard/language for Lifestyle Medicine protocols globally
- To differentiate between the evidence-based Lifestyle Medicine professionals and the non-evidence based Lifestyle Medicine practitioners
- To set a global Lifestyle Medicine benchmark
