CALL FOR ABSTRACTS for the 5th Malaysian Lifestyle Medicine Conference 2025
We are excited to announce that this year, the Malaysian Society of Lifestyle Medicine(MSLM) will be accepting free paper and poster presentation at our 5th Malaysian Lifestyle Medicine Conference 2025
This is an excellent opportunity for researchers, healthcare professionals, and students to showcase their work, gain recognition and connect with industry experts in the field of lifestyle medicine.
Gain recognition and awards for outstanding submissions in both Oral presentation and E-poster category.

SUBMISSION CATEGORIES:
- Oral presentation(Free paper) – For completed research studies or community projects with significant findings.
- Moderated Poster presentation (e-poster)– For research in progress, case studies or reviews.
- Who can submit? : Researchers and Professionals in the field of Lifestyle Medicine, Students, public health, nutrition and related fields
- Why participate?: Selected abstracts will be presented at the conference either as oral presentation or moderated Poster presentation, offering a platform for discussion and networking. Gain recognition, network with experts and contribute to the future of Lifestyle Medicine in Malaysia and worldwide.

Free paper and Poster presentation Abstract Submission Guidelines
INTRODUCTION
The abstract submission guidelines intend to provide clear instructions for the abstract submission. Prospective authors are encouraged to read the guidelines below carefully. The Scientific committee and MSLM Council reserve the right to reject any abstract that does not meet the requirements or is in violation of them.
GENERAL ABSTRACT GUIDELINES
- All abstracts / clinical cases must be submitted through conference website ONLINE SYSTEM. Abstracts submitted via email, fax or post will not be accepted.
- The MSLM scientific committee invites submission of original scientific materials that have never been presented at any conferences, before the abstract submission deadline.
- For abstract with NMRR registration, please state the NMRR ID.
- Abstracts / clinical cases must be SUBMITTED BY 11:59 p.m. (Malaysia time – GMT 8), on 15th August 2025 . Late submissions will not be accepted.
- Abstracts/clinical cases should be written in English.
- Title: Clear and concise. Capitalised Each Word except prepositions such as “of”, “for”, “and”, “with”, etc.
- Author and Co-authors: The first name is the presenting author. First name/middle name use initial, last name (surname) in full. Do not use titles (Dr) or degrees (MD). When more than one author is listed, use numbers to match authors and institutions.
- Affiliations: Department, institution/hospital/organisation. Do not include the address.

- Layout: The abstract must be in a single paragraph containing not more than 300 words excluding title and author details. (No visuals, tables or graphs).
- Formatting: The abstract must be in Times New Roman font, size 12 and single spacing.
- The abstract text should have the following sub-headings in bold:-
- Background
- Objective
- Materials & Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
- The case summary format should have the following sub-headings in bold:-
- Introduction of the case
- Objective
- Description of the problem, technique and equipment’s used
- Results
- Abstracts cannot be modified once submitted.
- All abstracts submissions must strictly follow the template provided. Failure to do so will lead to disqualification.
Review, Acceptance and Notification |
- Evaluations are based on quality, clarity and relevance for our attendees, as well as the significance of the materials
- The abstract submitted should have significant content and impact in the field of Lifestyle Medicine.
- There is no limit to the number of submissions per participant but do not submit the same study in multiple abstracts. It will be disqualified.
- Presenting authors will receive email notification of acceptance or rejection by 1st August 2025. Notifications will include information on the presentation, duration, date and time.
- The Organising Committee’s decision on the acceptance or rejection and presentation schedule is final and any disputes will not be entertained.
- All presenters of an accepted abstract / clinical case MUST register and pay the relevant registration fee to attend the congress by 1st September 2025. Failing to do so may result in your presentation being withdrawn.
- Participation in the 5th Malaysian Lifestyle Medicine Conference 2025 is compulsory for all presenting authors of the submitted abstract.
- Please communicate with the MSLM secretariat via email for any further enquiries or clarification
